The Rope of “Political Correctness”

Have you ever tried to push a rope?

Have you ever tied something or even a friend to a rope and then attempt to push it in a given direction? I guess you would agree that it doesn’t work very well. However, if you pull on the rope, you at least have the chance of getting things moving in the direction you would like them to move.

A key question is:

Are you the puller of the rope or are you the one being pulled?

If you are the one being pulled, which in many cases we are all pulled from time to time, which direction are you being pulled? Are you aware of where you are headed? Do you know who you are being pulled along by? Have you peeled the layers back far enough to discover who or even why someone is pulling you?

In todays life in this country as well as many others around the world, people have been pulled in the direction of “Political Correctness” (i.e., PC). The “PC” movement is a force that is gaining momentum and goes unnoticed. It is as if it is pulling our rope and we don’t recognize that we are tied to it.

PC really is not the same thing as “Love for all.” PC keeps telling us that we should let everyone live and do as they desire. It is their choice. Live and let live. Stand to the side and say nothing. What they do won’t hurt me. We need to ask ourselves the question; But will it?

We can love someone, but do we let them jump off a cliff because they choose to do so just because it’s PC?

Now maybe everyone is not ready to jump off a cliff, but one can show love and compassion and still speak up on issues of life. It’s ok and correct to listen, to try to understand, to discuss and exchange ideas. It’s also ok to have an opinion and to speak up about it, to be heard by the minority or the majority.

Being PC should never stand in the way of doing what is right!

In the USA, 85% of the people believe in God. The people around the world that believe in God, or Allah or just in peace and the study of how to live in harmony accounts for a major amount of the worlds population. So why do we allow the “Political Correctness” to take over and pull our rope in it’s direction. It appears that small minority is in control and are changing our culture and directing what our future generations will become. All for what appears to make them feel good, that fits their agenda, their life style preferences, or their beliefs.

However, the minority has rights and should be heard. The majority also has rights and should be heard. Love and understanding should be embraced on both sides. Political Correctness should not play a role in shutting down one side or the other, even if both sides believe the other has it wrong. Peaceful protest should be allowed, however non-peaceful protest should be shunned by both side.

A question to ponder:

When will we drop the momentum of “Political Correctness” and allow love, understanding, compassion, and an openness to “Truth” to find its way back to the top?

If God is real, and I personally believe He is based on my discovery down both roads, then why should I not be taught about this in my schools today as a possibility? Schools are for learning. Just because you may not believe in God, does not mean that there is no possibly that He may exist. I would think that in either case, one would want to know both side, be allowed to make ones own decision, to be given all available information, and to make ones own discovery and choices.

It truly takes a level of faith either way. I just wanted to know as much as possible so I could place my faith where I believed it belonged and not be driven by the “PC” of this world. I want to speak up and not let “PC” get in the way of someone who should be given a chance to learn what I have learned. To gain the knowledge allowing them to make life decisions based on what they choose to believe, not on what someone else tells them to believe.

So ask yourself:

Will you listen and share?

Will you look for “Truth”?

or

Will you stay in a comfort position remaining
“Politically Correct – PC”?

Breaking it Down: if we could just…

If we would allow ourselves to step outside our current life, dropping for a moment our inner thoughts, forgetting what we have been taught in our schools, our homes and step back from any religious beliefs we have, opening our mind to all we see, what would we like the world to be like?

With everything that is happening around this world, many times in the name of God, or some god, or Allah, or in the name of progressive evolution, one should wonder why. Why does man take something so simple to grasp, add his desires and then drive his agenda?  What is it that makes man’s desire to do evil, to hate, to murder?

If you are a Christian, you say you believe in God. Why do those that kill in the name of this belief, kill at all, when to be a Christian you are to love one another.

If you a Muslim, you say you believe in God. Why do those that kill in the name of this belief, kill at all, when to be a Muslim you are to love one another.

If you acknowledge that God exist, then you should show love to everyone.

What makes man behave as he does? What makes humans make up their own rules just to satisfy man’s own desires?

One of the most basic needs in life is to be loved by a mother or father, a brother or sister, a son or a daughter, a friend or a foe. Yes, even our enemy. If we loved our enemies and we were loved by our enemies, we would no longer have enemies. It makes no difference where in this world you live or what your beliefs are. Love enables each of us to grasp our desired happiness and defeat evil, to stop doing evil, to stop being evil.

Coming back full circle, we step back into our world realizing that love is drastically missing in so many places. We recognize that some force is driving man away from this simple principle of life. Is it intellect and a belief man has evolved and that some levels of man are greater than others? Is it the man-made rules in some religious belief that pits one against another? Is it a form of arrogance, conceit, pride or superiority that separates one from another? Is it aggressiveness versus laziness? Is it an evil force driving the wedge of hate and deceit into our lives?

This is a question we should ask ourselves?

To be loved one must show love remembering that real love is unconditional and real love expects nothing in return. If your religious belief, which includes all religions, (i.e. Christian, Muslim/Islam, Atheist, Buddhism, etc.) includes evil, hate, murder, then maybe you should rethink your religious belief and take a stand for “Love your neighbor” and bring this world back to what it was designed to be from the beginning.

What is Life Worth?

“The Beauty Around Us”

Asking a hard question is not what most of us like to do let alone being forced to answer it. It is not what makes us comfortable and generally we avoid them if possible. However, sometimes the question is asked and we have little choice but to answer it. So what is life really worth?

If one is faced with making a decision about the importance of the life we know and the need to protect what we have or what we desire, how would we react?

Would we give our life for one last good meal?
Would we give our life for something we can experience only once?
Would we give our life for our wife or husbands safety?
Would we give our life for our kids safety and future?
Would we give our life for our neighbor in need?
Would we give our life for our country and its freedom?
Would we give our life for freedom around the world?
Would we give our life for our freedom of religion or what we believe in?

Just what is important enough to give our life for or to ask someone else to give theirs for or to just stand by while they do?

Ok, this is a heavy question I know. But how would we each react if faced with making a decision to live or to die trying.

Many lives have been lost over the hundreds of years of wars and feuds. Men and women have died protecting their families. Freedoms have been won and lost in the efforts that cost lives. To give of one’s life is no small deed and should not go unrecognized. Disrespect for those lost lives should not be tolerated. Those who take lives disrespecting others just to help themselves should be stopped. Each of us as people have rights and we should recognize how we attained those rights. For those that have lost their rights we should have compassion. To tolerate continued loss of rights should be condemned and stopped in it tracks.

“freedom isn’t free unless everyone is free”

In the beginning there was one man and one woman whether you believe in God or not. In the beginning there was freedom in the human race. What happened?

What in the “WORLD” is Happening?

So your mad at the world, made at your country, upset with the violence, discussed with the TV and radio media, disturbed with the politicians, and even angry with God. The church has let you down, your country is going to hell in a hand basket, you search for answers but all you hear are the issues. No answers can be found. When searching you only find reasons why every concept will not work leaving zero answers for a remedy. Pointing the finger is the first reaction of most and many times the only reaction. Every minority and majority wants their rights regardless of color, race, religion, way of life and could care less about anyone else as long as they get their way. Many times these different groups speak out against others just because they don’t agree with their point of view or beliefs even when they have never taken the time to understand each other. When a majority is made up of many minorities like the Christianity and Muslim religious beliefs, they don’t even agree with each other within each group. Everyone is out for themselves and strongly desire that the rest of the world believe their way of thinking but won’t give an inch towards comprehending the other side. All you see is hate and very little love. Kindness many times just doesn’t exist. One faith despises another – it’s their way or the highway in spite of the fact most of them preach “Love”. When will it all end????

Ok, I must stop myself. But does this feel like you on occasion or possible most everyday? So what are the answers?

1) Is it Gods fault that bad things happen?

2) Is it mans fault that bad things happen?

3) Is it money that drives everything?

4) What happened to: “Love your neighbor as yourself?”

5) What happened to: “Do onto others as you would like them to do to you?”

If we try to sum things up just a little we might recognize that if there is no God as some believe, than it must be man (man/women) that is messing with things and causing all the problems.

The other side of the coin is that there is a God (which many believe) that started everything. If He created everything and then added man (man/woman) then what we see is pretty good except for how man has turned out. So I would suggest that man again is the one that is causing all the problems. And remember that if you believe in God and follow the Bible or even the Koran, then it all started with just one man and one woman. Even science tells us that we all go back to one man/woman.

Suggestion: “If man (man/women) would use integrity as the model of how to live, would not this world be a better place?”

To Love or to Feel Love

Do you love what you love, or just the feeling? This question was part of a personality test written by Jonathan-Safran-Foer and posted by my friend David Kanigan. A great question that is worth the time to ponder. Giving this some thought it brought many questions to mind. These are just a few.

Do you love the feeling you get or do you love unconditionally?

Do you love when someone is not there or only when you are with them?

Do you spring into action when something attacks what you love or do you sit and wait for the dust to  settle?

Would you die for what you love or only attempt within reason to help?

Can you show your love or is your love just a hidden feeling you can’t or don’t express?

Can you show your love even when it is not to your benefit at the time?

Can you love and forget the shortcomings of your love or do you let the shortcomings affect your love?

Do you always nurture your love or just when you want that feeling of love?

Would you give up anything and everything for your love or would you sit back and wait until your timing was better for you?

Are you addicted to your love for the right reasons or are you just addicted?

Can you let your love go and still love what just left?

What is true love of someone or something? Love is very precious and should hold a place in our heart that no one can disrupt. Only we can spoil that love. That love does not spoil itself. One can spoil love for the other but it was not love that spoiled it. If we could all choose to love unconditionally then love would flourish! The hurts would disappear. The lives of everyone in this world would be affected in a positive way allowing God’s plan for each of us to be fulfilled. The golden rule comes to mind. “Love your neighbor as yourself”. Do to others as you would want them to do to you as my Grandmother always said. True love would change our lives and those around us. My resolution for the future is to attempt to always love unconditionally. What will be yours?

Yielded…

The message in this post is full of passionate wisdom and worth our time to explore and ponder. Thank you Secret Angle.

Yielded…
is a word that came to me…
meaning “let it all go”…
to be what God wants you to be.
No agenda…
not to have your own way…
but just to be obedient…
to do whatever He will say.

Everyone has Faith

  • It takes faith to believe in Allah.
  • It takes faith to believe in evolution.
  • It takes faith to believe that good works will get you to heaven.
  • It takes faith to believe in the Cast system.
  • It takes faith to believe we only live once and then we are dead and nothing else matters.
  • It takes faith to believe we come back to this world as someone or something else after we die.
  • It takes faith to believe that if you kill someone in the name of Allah you will have virgins waiting for you on the other side.
  • It takes faith that when you go to sleep you will wake in the morning.
  • It takes faith that when you get in a car, a cab, a train or an airplane to go someplace you will arrive safely.
  • It takes faith to order food in a restaurant or buy it in a store and believe it is safe to eat.
  • It takes faith that if you work hard at your job you will get a raise.
  • It takes faith to believe you can do something you have never attempted to do.
  • It takes faith………..

It takes some level of faith to believe in anything. We have those that will try to confuse the idea of faith by adding the word blind faith trying to make your faith unbelievable. Some confuse faith in evolution by removing the words micro and macro. Some people speak as if they have all the answers, that they have facts, that they have proof. Some people believe they are better than you or I. Some people have an agenda that is for themselves and not anyone else unless you agree to the faith they have in their agenda.

You see “FAITH” is something that we all have one way or the other. It is where we choose to place that faith that is important. So the next time we find ourselves thinking we have all the answers, thinking everyone is crazy if they don’t believe as we do, take a step back and realize that everyone has faith in their belief. The key is to make sure that where we place our faith is real or has the highest chance of being true. To openly share your faith and why you believe in it, to listen to the opposite points of view, to look into the chance of something being true, to look into the real background of any faith, religion or belief will bring each of us closer to what we should place our faith in. Faith should not be based on what we like to do or what makes us feel the best or what we want to hear. It should be based on something that is real to each of us, something that we can say holds our faith steady or something that is not threatened by others or ourselves because we look into other faiths or beliefs. Real faith should stand the test of investigation by you or others.

So where do you place your “FAITH”?

“A Short-Cut to the Future”

I can’t add any words to the message of this post. It states it so well all on its own. Powerful word for thought and needs a place in the Think Tank. Thanks Secret Angel

The Abuse Expose' with Secret Angel

“A short-cut to the future”…
is the path many want to take.
But is it the right path…
or a really big mistake.
And these words came to me…
as I lay down and pray.
So I will share with you…
as my message for today.

So many people want…
their destiny to hurry.
But looking to the future…
all they can see is blurry.
So they begin to search…
amongst the many faces…
always looking for love…
but in all the wrong places.

What Color is Humanity?

It is stated that the human race can be traced back to one person. This is found in the journals of science and also found in the first book of the Bible “Genesis” which is one of if not the oldest book on record. So it should make no difference if you believe in evolution or creation – the human race began from one or maybe we better say two humans as we know them – one woman and one man. The bible tells us that God created man on the 6th day of creation and created woman from a rib of man and this is how the human race began. Evolution tells us that man evolved from something other that itself and somehow woman came along at the same time. What evolution cannot explain is why most every living thing requires male and female of the same kind to reproduce when it states that everything began as a single cell of living mater. Both beliefs do agree that the human race began with one male and one female which makes us all decedent’s of those two humans.

We are all one race called humans regardless of what we look like. It makes no difference if we are red, black, brown, yellow, white, or any other color – we are essentially all brothers and sisters , aunts or uncles or cousin’s of the original two. We are all related one way or another. We attempt to group different ethnic races by regions of the world. However, if we all came from that first couple, we are still all related. We may have different religious beliefs but we are still related. We may have different skin color, but we are still related. We may come from different countries, but we are still all related. We may be highly educated or have no education, but we are still related. No matter how we attempt to split up the world population into different groups, we are still all related. We all started out equal. One man and one woman.

One might argue that this all started millions of years ago and that the different human races each evolved separately. However, if this would have happened then it still had to take place approximately 4500 years ago or the population of the earth would be so large we would not have much standing space between us. Using the average population growth equasion that is statistically agreed too and we start 4500 years back, we find that we would reach our current global population of today. For evolution to have evolved each race independently, it would take millions of years. However, we just statistically proved that if we started more than 4500 years ago that the global population would be a lot larger than it is today. So evolution has not had enough time for each race to have evolved on its own if in fact each race originated from something different than the original two humans.

Science has proved that each of us have the same everything in our bodies except that our skin and our outward appearance may look a little different. We are still all part of the human race! Reproduction happens between a male and female of the same kind. The human race is a kind. A person of any color can reproduce with someone of another color. What they reproduce is a child, a brother or a sister, an aunt or an uncle or a cousin. They do not reproduce a new kind, just another precious child. When we peal that onion of life down to the core, we find that we are all brothers and sisters. We should love one another even if we don’t always like each other all the time. We should treat our brothers and sisters as we would like them to treat us. Evolution would have us believe we should let the fittest survive which is at the core of their philosophy; allowing the evolving process to continue transforming what we are into whatever nature requires as it changes. What will we become next? God said he created us with a purpose, that we were special and we should love Him for everything he created and gave us and to love one another.

So lets ask ourselves, why do some people view those of a different color or a different country or a different education level, or any way we would like to split humanity into different segments as someone different or anything less than themselves when we all started out from the original man and woman? I have a sister that does medical transcribing, a sister that is a nurse, a brother that drives truck, a sister that is a master of phycology, and a sister that is a certified public accountant. We are not all the same, but we are brothers and sisters. We each look different, live in different places, believe a little differently, make mistakes, upset each other at times, get into arguments, and even stay away from each other for long lengths of time, but we are still brothers and sisters.

So what color do you think humanity is? I think humanity is whatever color you are looking at!

I believe each person on earth is needed. I believe that each person on earth should love and be loved. I believe that if we followed this rule that the world would be at peace with itself. I believe that we each have a gift of some kind and that if we were all allowed to use it with a mix of love attached the sky is the limit to how great and peaceful this world would be.
